Introduction:

The problem of computational imaging focuses on how to effectively perceive data and reconstruct high-quality images to assist people in making decisions. This includes three stages: image perception, image reconstruction, and image analysis. Traditional image perception is mainly based on hardware design, while image reconstruction and analysis are the main battlefield of mathematics and statistical methods. For a long time, the development of these three steps has been relatively independent and their integration has been weak. However, with the rapid development of machine learning, especially deep learning, this situation is gradually changing. This report mainly focuses on the opportunities and challenges brought by deep learning to computational imaging, and introduces how to combine traditional image reconstruction algorithms with deep learning methods to design data-driven and task-driven imaging algorithms, so as to achieve organic integration of the three stages of computational imaging.
