Introduction：

    In this talk, the focus will be on the key development stages of Artificial Intelligence (AI), from the early Turing Test to chatbots, autonomous vehicles, AI systems that can play against humans, and the recently popular generative AI models, such as the GPT series. The lecture will first introduce the development of these AI technologies and their contributions to modern theories. Then, it will compare the different characteristics of generative AI and task-oriented AI, highlighting their differences in handling tasks. An experiment will also be discussed to explore whether GPT-like models possess future potential, especially in their abilities to understand language and imitate human behavior in creation, programming, and painting. Finally, the lecture will address the limitations of GPT models in mathematical processing and how these limitations impact the practical applicability of such models.
