About Us

     The Laboratory for Machine Learning and Computational Optimization is founded in July 2016. The laboratory is located in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the South China Normal University. The laboratory has the experts and scholars from home and abroad. Our scientific thought is the combination of abstract theory, numerical algorithms, and practical applications. Our research areas focus on the original mathematical theory of machine learning methods and big data analysis including approximation theory, optimization theory, medical image processing, cancer modeling, and so on. The new artificial intelligence algorithms are constructed to analyze the big data of medicine and education to develop the medical software and educational software for the applications in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
